2007 - 2008 Accomplishments

2007 Marching Season:

• 12th place finish at Bands of America with a Superior Rating

• UIL Superior Rating (Division One)

• 9th Place finish at Duncanville Contest

• 3rd Place finish at Carrolton Contest

 Jazz:

• Three students made the All-region Jazz Band

All-Region:

• Over 20 student5s were selcted for the All-region concert bands

All-Area: 

• 9 students competed at the All-Area contest

All-State:

• 4 students were selected to the All-State Band

Uil Solo and Ensemble:

• Over 60 students receiving medals for a Superior rating

• Over 30 Advancing to the State contest

Concert Band:

• MHS Concert Band received a "Superior" rating on stage

• MHS Wind Ensemble received A "Superior" rating on stage and in Sight reading

• MHS Wind Ensemble Sweepstakes award

• MHS Concert Band "Superior" rating at Festival in NJ- Also best in class

• MHS Symphonic Band "Superior" rating at Festival in NJ- Also best in class

• MHS wind Ensemble "Superior" rating at Festival in NJ- Also best in class

• MHS Wind Ensemble Outstanding musical group and Grand Champion

• MHS Bands received 13 outstanding soloist awards

• 5th Place Finalist at the Carrolton "Tournament of Champions"
• Winners of "Outstanding Color Guard" and "Outstanding Drum Line" Awards
• Bands of America Arlington Regional Finalist!
• Unanimous 1st Division at UIL Region
